Linda Fisher Hilmer
Linda is one of the top female adventure kayakers on the Lower Cape. An American Canoe Association kayak instructor, she consistently teaches good technique with a very gentle, loving manner and will always share her understanding of local wildlife and trail navigation during tours she leads.
Having lived in Burlington, Vermont and Sun Valley, Idaho, before returning to Cape Cod, Linda's focus to kayaking is on balance. Her recipe ~ one part ease of paddling with one part the more technical side of kayaking, and two parts a lot spiritual connection to the natural world. A registered nurse and Reiki Master, Linda says, "one of the most amazing things about running our kayak company is being able to surround myself with such wonderful women and individuals". Linda leads the Women on Water classes for Nauset Community Education.
Erin Murdoch Bates
Raised on Cape Cod, Erin is a marsh / mudflat enthusiast who makes the marsh her outdoor classroom. She is both a fine paddler and a passionate, knowledgeable naturalist. What separates Erin from most guides is her ability to immerse herself, and those on tour, into the community of marsh organisms found all around. You will often find her digging through shells for that perfect piece to add to her jewelry making - which is really good at making shell and coastal jewelry! Oh, did we say her smile is infectious and she arrives with it each morning.
Richard Rodman is an ECC original having worked with Dick for 12 years. You'll appreciate his confident approach and love of paddling.
Richard is an expedition kayaker who paddles the Cape waterways year round. He is also our resident equipment/accessories guru - committed to knowing as much as he can about whats happening in the kayak world.
He is an ACA certified instructor and in the off-season works with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Bryan is our free spirited resident surfer-boy. When not out in his kayak, he can be found surfing on the outer coast of Cape Cod, or jammin' on his djembe with some of his musician friends.
Bryan is an extraordinary 'self taught' paddler and he makes it look soooo easy. He is one of those guides who listens and watches his clients while asessing their need for instruction and improvement, speaking only when necessary.
In the off season he works with the Appalachian Mountain Club at Pinkham Notch at the base of Mount Washington, snowboard in hand. He loves spotting birds and will always talk to you about renewable energy.
An ACA certified instructor, life is just "cool" for this natty-dreaded Cape Codder.
